Samsung Rolls Out One UI 6 Update with Android 14 for Galaxy Devices

Galaxy S22 Series to Receive Upgrade Starting November 15

In a significant move, Samsung is pushing the boundaries of innovation by updating its smartphones to Android 14, accompanied by the latest One UI 6 customization layer. The rollout has already commenced with the Galaxy Z Flip and Fold 5 models, with the highly anticipated update scheduled for the Galaxy S22 series starting this Wednesday, November 15.

Samsung, the Korean tech giant, unveiled the new version of its mobile user interface, One UI 6, in early October. This update introduces cutting-edge features such as ‘passkeys’ for compatible applications, a revamped navigation panel, and AI-powered video editing tools.

The official launch of One UI 6 took place at the end of last month, with the initial implementation on the Galaxy S23 smartphone series. This deployment brought Android 14 and its enhancements to devices like Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.

The tech company also disclosed a comprehensive list of devices slated to receive the One UI 6 update. This includes the Galaxy S22, S21, and S20 series, along with the Galaxy Note20 and various foldable models like the Z Fold5, Z Flip5, Z Fold4, Z Flip4, Z Fold3, Z Flip3, Z Fold2, Z Flip 5G, and Z Flip LTE.

Furthermore, Samsung has shared the release dates for its new customization layer, as detailed in a European Samsung community forum, reported by 9to5Google. The One UI 6 update is already available for flagship models Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5, released on Monday, November 13, and is also accessible for Galaxy A34 and A54 models.

Next in line to receive the One UI 6 update are the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, including S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra, set to roll out on Wednesday, November 15. Following closely, on November 20, the update will extend to Galaxy S23 FE, Z Fold 4, Flip 4, Galaxy S21, and A13 and A33 models.

Several other smartphones are scheduled for updates throughout November, with the Galaxy S21 FE expected to upgrade to Android 14 on November 24. Similarly, on November 27, the Galaxy A13, A23 5G, Z Flip 3, and Fold 3 will join the lineup.

The update schedule extends into December, with devices like the Galaxy A25 set for an upgrade on December 1, the Galaxy A04s on December 4, and the Galaxy XCover 5 on December 8. However, Samsung’s release calendar has left users eagerly awaiting news on when Android 14 will be implemented on the Galaxy A52 5G, Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, and Galaxy A14 smartphones.
